Plans, trial, and billing
What the free trial, Pro and Pay Once include, where to check your allowances and how to manage billing.
Epilude offers Pro, a subscription with cloud and on-device features, and Pay Once, a one-time purchase for supported on-device features. New accounts start with a free trial, without a credit card.
How the free trial works
The trial has three independent allowances: 1,000 dictated words, 10 meeting notes and 5 cloud voice minutes. They have no time limit. Using up one does not use up the others, and nothing is billed automatically.
Words count in Cloud mode and Local Mode for Dictation and voice Actions. A meeting note counts when you start recording; a recording started within the allowance can finish transcribing and receive its summary. The demo meeting does not count.
Cloud voice minutes measure newly generated Narrator audio. Replaying cached audio does not use more minutes. Sharing or exporting may generate audio you have not heard yet, which uses minutes; see Cloud voice minutes for the full rules.
When an allowance runs out, the feature using it asks you to upgrade. Other allowances remain available. When cloud voice minutes run out, Narrator offers to continue with the EP-1 voice on a supported Apple Silicon Mac; the change requires your choice.
Check your allowances in Settings → Billing & Usage. If you do not upgrade, your Vocabulary, Shortcuts and Tone Match settings stay saved on your account.

Pro's cloud voice allowance resets on the first of each UTC calendar month. Cloud voices are metered separately from dictation and meeting notes.
Pay Once requires Apple Silicon and the relevant model downloads. Full on-device Cleanup and meeting summaries require at least 16GB of memory. Pay Once does not include cloud processing, cloud voices or Actions. On Intel, use cloud features with Pro or the remaining trial allowances.
After the Pay Once update year ends, the installed app keeps working. Renewal is optional and buys another year of updates.

Check your plan and usage
Open Settings → Billing & Usage to see your plan, trial allowances and cloud voice usage. Choose an upgrade there to open checkout in your browser.
Cancel or change your plan
Cancel Pro from the web dashboard. In the app, click your account at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Manage Account, or sign in at app.epilude.com. Click Manage billing on the dashboard to cancel, change your payment method or view invoices. You can also email support@epilude.com.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, so you keep access until then.
