Epilude is a voice productivity app for macOS. Press a hotkey, speak naturally, and release — polished, formatted text appears wherever your cursor is. It works in any app where you can type: email, Slack, documents, code editors, browsers, and more.

How it works

Press your hotkey

Hold your dictation hotkey (default: Right Option ⌥). A small indicator appears showing Epilude is listening.

Speak naturally

Talk at your normal pace. Say punctuation commands like "comma" or "new paragraph" if you want formatting.

Release the key

Epilude transcribes your speech, formats it with AI, and inserts the finished text at your cursor.

What you need

  • macOS 13 (Ventura) or later
  • A microphone (built-in or external)
  • An internet connection for cloud transcription
