Epilude helps you write by voice, capture meeting notes, read text aloud and edit selected text on your Mac. You can choose cloud or on-device processing separately for Dictation, Notetaker and Narrator.
Write with Dictation
Hold your dictation hotkey, speak, then release it. Epilude inserts the text where your cursor is, in apps such as Mail, Slack, Notes and your browser.
Cleanup controls how much the text is polished. Smart Formatting handles spoken punctuation, lists and line breaks.
Capture meetings with Notetaker
Notetaker records your microphone and the meeting audio your Mac plays, without a bot joining the call. After recording, you can review the transcript, summary and action items.

Listen with Narrator
Narrator reads selected text, documents and web articles aloud. Start with a selection in another app, or add material to your Narrator library.
The EP-1 voice reads on an Apple Silicon Mac without a voice allowance. Cloud voices use a separate allowance. See Start a narration and Cloud voice minutes.
Edit with Actions
Actions rewrites selected text using a command you choose, type or speak. You review the result before replacing the original. Voice Actions can also draft text at a supported editable cursor.

What you need
Epilude runs on macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later, on Apple Silicon or Intel. Cloud features need an internet connection.
Local models require Apple Silicon and a one-time download. Full on-device Cleanup and meeting summaries require at least 16GB of memory. Choosing Local for Dictation does not change Notetaker, Narrator or Actions; data handling explains each product's processing choices.
