Share a narration
Put a narration on the web for yourself or anyone with its link, then update, reset, or remove that link.
Put a narration on the web to listen on another device or send it to someone else. Sharing uploads that narration's text and audio only after you choose the action.
Before you share
Sharing needs a signed-in Epilude account.
Create a link
Open the narration menu
Open More on a row in Recent narrations, on the Narrator player, or on the open narration. Choose Share.
Review the upload notice
The first share on your account explains that Epilude will upload the text and audio. Nothing from that narration is uploaded before you confirm.
Choose who can listen
Select Only me if the link should work only while you are signed in to your Epilude account. Select Anyone with the link if the listener should not need an account.
Copy the link
Choose Copy link after the upload finishes. The same narration now appears at app.epilude.com/narrations.
Keep a narration for yourself
Choose Keep on the Web instead of Share when you want a private copy for your own devices. The sheet shows a QR code that you can scan with your phone, and the narration is set to Only me.
To skip that step for cloud voices, open Settings → Narrator → On the web and turn on Automatically keep cloud narrations on the web. Each narration read by a cloud voice is then uploaded privately when it plays to the end. Turning the setting on uploads nothing by itself, a narration you stop partway is not uploaded, and narrations read with the EP-1 voice are never uploaded by this setting. Share and Keep on the Web work for any narration whether the setting is on or off.
Epilude keeps the 50 most recent narrations uploaded by this setting. Narrations you share or keep on the web yourself are not removed when that list fills.
Change or remove a link
Open the share sheet again to change Only me to Anyone with the link, or the other way around. Reset Link creates a new address and stops the old one from working.
Choose Stop Sharing to delete the uploaded text and audio from Epilude's servers. The narration in your Mac library is not deleted.
If you change the narration text or voice after sharing, choose Update to replace the uploaded version under the same link.
Open narrations on another device
Sign in at app.epilude.com/narrations in any browser. The list shows each narration's title, length, share date, and access setting.
A narration set to Only me plays while you are signed in to the same account. Links set to Anyone with the link work until you reset them or stop sharing.
