Your dictation history

Review past dictations, compare raw and cleaned text, undo Cleanup edits, report a bad result, or clear your history.

Epilude keeps a history of your dictations on your Mac, so you can copy past text, check what Cleanup changed, and report anything that came out wrong. Nothing in your history is uploaded unless you choose to report an entry.

Open your history

The Recent dictations card on the Home screen shows your latest entries. Click See all to open the All dictations list, your full history with the same actions on every entry.

Copy and compare

Each entry expands to show the full text. Its menu offers Copy for the cleaned text and Copy raw for the transcript as you spoke it, before Cleanup edited it.

To see the difference, choose See what changed. Added and removed words are highlighted inline. Revert to raw keeps the raw transcript instead of the cleaned text, and Undo AI edit / Redo AI edit switch between the two versions. These change only what's stored in your history, never text already inserted in other apps.

Report a dictation that came out wrong

Click the flag button on an entry to open a short report form. Describing what you expected is optional. The report includes that dictation's original and cleaned text so Epilude can see what happened and improve quality. No audio is included, and nothing is sent unless you submit the report.

Your stats

The Your stats card next to your history shows total words, time saved, and average words per minute, with your top sources and an activity heatmap. To turn stats off, toggle Settings → General → Track local dictation stats.

Delete your history

Delete a single entry from its menu. To wipe everything, click Clear dictation history in Settings → General. This deletes every saved transcript and resets your activity stats, and it can't be undone.
