Dictation lives on a hotkey, not in an app. Wherever your cursor is (an email, a Slack thread, a doc, a code editor), hold the key, say what you mean, and release. The finished text lands about a second later, punctuated and ready to send. Prefer not to hold? Double-tap the key and dictate hands-free until you tap again.

Some text you write twenty times a week. Save it once and give it a spoken cue. “Send my calendar” drops your scheduling link, “sig” drops your full signature, wherever you happen to be writing. Shortcuts turn two seconds of speech into the paragraph you used to retype.
Editing is dictation too
Select any text, press the hotkey, and say the change: “make this more concise,” “translate to French,” “add bullet points.” Actions rewrites the selection in place. Nothing gets copied into a chatbot and pasted back.
